The position will strengthen vaccine preventable disease control including increasing and maintaining immunization coverage for all EPI vaccines, surveillance of vaccine preventable diseases; to eradicate transmission of wild poliomyelitis; measles elimination rubella/CRS control , introduce new and underutilized vaccine.
The incumbent is responsible to carry out the following activities related to immunization a to assist State immunization programme and State Ministry of Health:
Essential: A university degree in Medicine or Public Health. Desirable: Training in the field of epidemiology or advanced degree in epidemiology/public health/control of communicable diseases.
Essential: At least two years of professional experience in EPI and vaccine preventable disease control Desirable: Experience of work in United Nations and/or international organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of communicable disease control, epidemiology, and laboratory diagnosis specifically for EPI diseases. Knowledge of clinical and laboratory surveillance. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated willingness and ability to work effectively with national and international colleagues.

Essential: Expert knowledge of English.
Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 47,967 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
