Position: Operations Manager

Department: Projects

Directly Reports to: Project Manager

Duties and responsibilities:

• Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.

• Follow up to ensure that Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis for activities are prepared.

• Follow up to ensure that Hot works and Cold works (confined space, penetration, work at height etc.) have been prepared before work commences.

• Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Manage staff levels and wages to achieve desired revenues.

• Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.

• Work closely with management to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.

• Work closely with the SCM to perform analysis of inventory to ensure optimal utilization of inventory, purchasing the right items and maintaining solid inventory data.

• Coordination with Clients to ensure the service delivery is smooth, customer satisfaction, service delivery in a timely manner, minimize the NCR and complaints.

• Overseeing the TOs/Projects progress, quality and workmanship to comply with specifications and clients' expectation.

• Manage the O&M and other assigned functions on site to ensure overall contract performance.

• Monitor system readiness, identify problem areas, and respond to mission requirements to perform contract requirements.

• Direct and monitor the preventive maintenance program; accept, process, coordinate, and assign work orders, projects, and large task assignments.

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a relevant Master's Degree or Certifications in Project Management.

Ten (10) years' verifiable experience managing multiple trades in a large institutional setting, O & M or managing construction projects.

Relevant overseas contract experience.

Previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong computer skills, specifically in CAD and Microsoft Office

Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

• Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers' license from Home of Record.

• Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.

• Citizenship: Any.
