On behalf of our client, Shaqo Kaab Solutions is recruiting a passionate and results-driven Junior Travel Agent and Admin to support the overall operations strategy of our client's company. The Junior Travel Agent and Admin will work closely with the manager and owner as needed to ensure all aspects of our client's operation strategy and plans run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Specification Brief

The Junior Travel Agent/Admin will be responsible for assisting with travel bookings, coordinating itineraries, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the travel agency. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an organized individual with a passion for travel and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with booking flights, accommodations, tours, and other travel arrangements.
• Coordinate travel itineraries and handle reservations efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and offering travel advice.
• Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining client records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of travel requests.
• Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and industry regulations.
• Assist in marketing activities and promotions to attract new clients.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, or related field.
• Proven experience in customer service or administrative roles.
• Excellent communication skills in Somali and English, both written and verbal, Arabic is an asset.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Word and Excel.
• knowledge of travel booking software is an asset.
• Knowledge of geographical locations, travel regulations, and visa requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling travel arrangements.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex business and customer challenges.

Additional Skills

• Language proficiency in additional languages is desirable.
• Previous experience in a travel agency or related industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with social media platforms for marketing purposes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the travel industry.
