Job Specification Brief

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, excellent communication skills, and a deep knowledge of marketing principles specific to HVAC products.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment according to company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing filters, cleaning coils, and lubricating parts to ensure system efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Calibrate thermostats, check refrigerant levels, and test system performance to ensure proper functioning.
• Respond to customer service calls promptly and address customer concerns professionally.
• Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for system improvement and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC technology and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Local technical education or equivalent completion of an HVAC technician training program with certification of related HVAC products and technology preferred.
• Proven experience working as an HVAC technician or in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Valid HVAC technician certification and/or license required.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and external partners.
