RA is looking for a Project Manager to be based in Somalia. Candidate should have bachelor's degree or equivalent in Catering Management field, including Military catering. Proven experience in camp management or similar roles, ideally in a military or comparable complex environment. Problem-solving ability and experience in managing diverse operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring projects align with their defined scope and objectives.
• Review and approve team deliverables, maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle, and prepare thoroughly for engagement reviews.
• Proactively manage project exposure and risks, implementing strategies to minimize impact.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date, and organized project documentation.
• Continuously track project progress, risks, and contingencies, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Manage project finances, including analysing profitability, revenue, margins, and resource utilization, and tracking team hours and expenses. Follow up on outstanding invoices promptly.
• Foster open communication within the project team and with stakeholders, delivering clear progress reports and facilitating effective meetings. Regularly update the team on organizational news.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of SHAND Camp in compliance with UK standards, including managing Government Furnished Assets (GFA) and coordinating security and service provisions.
• Ensure high-quality catering, cleaning, waste management, and security services. Manage camp facilities like storage and parking.
• Supervise a 24-hour uniformed, armed security force, ensuring adherence to standards and agreements.
• Report to the Authority's representative, provide quarterly performance reports, participate in governance meetings, and implement a complaints procedure for service delivery issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Catering Management field, including Military catering.
• Proven experience in camp management or similar roles, ideally in a military or comparable complex environment.
• Problem-solving ability and experience in managing diverse operations.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
