Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Flight Operations Supervisor to oversee our operations in Aden Adde International Airport Mogadishu, Somalia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all flight operations activities associated with our general cargo and charter flights to and from Mogadishu, Somalia as well as central regions of Somalia. This is a senior management role that requires a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, and manage all flight operations activities in Mogadishu, Somalia.

2. Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

3. Oversee flight scheduling, ensuring efficient utilization of aircraft and crew resources.

4. Coordinate with customers to accommodate charter flight requests and manage cargo and passenger logistics.

5. Communicate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including pilots, ground staff, maintenance teams, and other departments within the company.

6. Monitor flight operations and implement necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and performance.

7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation developments, regulations, and trends in the industry.

8. Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and implement corrective actions as required.

9. Develop and implement training programs for flight operations staff to enhance performance and ensure adherence to procedures.

10. Prepare reports on key metrics, such as flight punctuality, fuel consumption, and crew productivity, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight operations management, preferably in a cargo or charter flight environment.

3. Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations, operations, and safety standards.

4. Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.

5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

8. Proficiency in relevant software applications for flight planning and scheduling.

9. Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
